"08 SIRCUS" is a domestic brand launched in the Spring/Summer 2010 season by Kiyonori Morishita. The brand name is a portmanteau of "Sir," one of the honorary titles in the British honors system, and "Customer." The "08" preceding the name is a continuation of the "bee" motif that has been used since Morishita's previous brand, "kiminori morishita." The brand concept is to shift focus from visible luxury to the functional beauty found in the highest quality garments that one truly wants to wear, proposing new clothing that is a little ahead of its time with a realistic sensibility. As Morishita states, "Quality and comfort are prerequisites," "We use Japanese materials and prioritize lightness," and "We want to continue creating the best."
