SUBLATIONS is a unisex brand launched in 2020 by director Taisei Kanayama and designer Yasutaka Nakamura. SUBLATION means "the negation of negation, fusing opposing elements to create a higher level of development." Opposing, sometimes contradictory styles, details and moods such as male and female, dress and military are expressed as fashion through the director and designer's filter. Utilizing Nakamura's experience of cultivating sewing and production know-how at tailors and denim manufacturers in Ginza, the brand produces high-quality products that are committed to production in domestic factories.
These baggy denim pants have a bold, wide silhouette and feature foil processing around the waist and sides.
The cotton fabric is just the right thickness, making it soft and extremely comfortable to wear from the start.
Although it has a bold, baggy silhouette, darts are added around the waist to give it a neater look, creating a sophisticated design that is not too casual.
Using black denim as a base, the unique color is reproduced through a special dyeing process in which the denim is bleached after sewing and then dyed.
Other subtle features include a button fly, five large pockets, and a wide hem.
