This project was based on the idea of "making what we want to make without compromise," getting rid of all the concepts of STOCK's original items up until now. The idea was based on a vintage work shirt from a certain maison brand that our director regularly wears. The fabric we focused on this time was carefully crafted with a domestic fabric factory, and we took the time to revise the completed sample to get closer to the fabric quality we imagined. The reverse twill wool gabardine fabric we created from scratch has a plump, firm feel, elegant smoothness, and delicate twillness that is comparable to maison brands. The key to making the shirt was how to incorporate our original fabric, which has an elegant luster and drape that is the polar opposite of work, into the design while making use of the atmosphere unique to the original work shirt. It's not too work-like, but it's not too classy either, so we adjusted the details one by one while searching for the perfect balance. We have completed our ultimate classic shirt, which has an unpretentious atmosphere but is somehow sophisticated.
It features large flap pockets with narrow box pleats.
The concealed button design helps to eliminate the straight work feel.
It has a wide box silhouette and darts on the back to create a beautiful back silhouette.
The large collar, rounded hem, and sleeves that fall slightly onto the back of the hand give it a sophisticated and dressy impression.
The thin, smooth fabric is made by weaving fine wool yarn as finely as possible and then pressing it, which reduces even the slightest bit of pilling and gives it a glossy, elegant appearance.
This piece is designed with meticulous attention to detail, from the horn buttons to the smooth lining in a different color scheme.
