Gold is a precious metal particularly resistant to corrosion, possessing a beautiful luster suitable for jewelry, and boasting high rarity due to its limited total mining volume. The total amount of gold unearthed on Earth to date is approximately 183,000 tons (a mere 3.8 Olympic swimming pools), and the remaining estimated reserves are about 53,000 tons. Despite its small total volume, gold is a precious resource with diverse applications, and it is estimated that depletion is imminent. Furthermore, gold has a long history as jewelry, dating back to ancient Egypt in the BCE era. This long history has accumulated trust, leading to an upward trend in its exchange rate, and the value of gold continues to rise. In addition, gold holds high liquidity globally, and unlike other investment products, its value does not collapse if kept on hand, giving it value as an asset.

- *As we source our items in NY, our vintage gold jewelry generally has an "ato-K" hallmark. All products are inspected using an X-ray metal composition analysis device to confirm that their purity is equal to or greater than the hallmark indicates.
- * "K" stands for Karat, representing the purity of gold as a weight ratio in 24 parts. The closer the number is to 24, the higher the purity of the gold. (K24 is almost pure gold with 99.99% purity). While higher purity increases the value of gold, it also makes it softer and more prone to scratching, making it unsuitable for jewelry manufacturing. By mixing other metals (alloys), alloys like 18K and 14K can be created, providing practical durability. Typically, "wari-gane" (alloys) contain silver and copper, but in the case of colored gold, they may also include palladium, platinum, nickel, iron, aluminum, etc.
